Debby - Registered Dental Hygienist
Debby came to our office as a part time dental hygienist in February of 2002 and eventually accepted a full time position in 2003.
A mother of two grown daughters, Debby spends as much time outdoors as possible, riding horses, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and boating. Growing up on the Washington Coast, Debby proved to be quite an athlete, and eventually played college basketball at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington and at Lewis-Clark State College, here in Lewiston.
After working as a chair-side dental assistant for a short time, Debby was accepted to and ultimately graduated, in 1990, from Mt. Hood Community College in Portland, with her degree in Dental Hygiene. Since coming to our office full time, Debby has pushed Dr. Johnson from his comfort level many times, which has lead to many of the proactive changes we've made over the years. Dr. Johnson has said over and over again, that though he hasn't always been comfortable with the changes initially, that Debby's presence and perseverance has made him a better dentist.
No doubt, that when you see Debby, you will find an amazingly professional and thorough hygienist who is mindful of your busy schedule. It was at her suggestion in 2007, that we began offering 7:00 a.m. dental hygiene and periodontal therapy visits. Though we recognize that many patients still don't want to get up so early for a visit to their hygienist, many have found the change an incredibly accommodating offering...especially for our local shift-workers and professionals, whose work schedules don't allow for traditional care during the busy work day.
